Pineapple Banana Smoothie
Fresh pineapple and bananas blended together so smooth and creamy, this was a great morning treat. I love the ease of making smoothies in the morning. Almost everyday, I toss a smoothie together as I'm cooking breakfast for my kids. That way we all have something to sip on as we are waiting for our meal.
Pineapple Banana Smoothie
1/2 medium size pineapple, approximately 2 cups large pineapple chunks
2 bananas, frozen
1 1/2 cups milk
1 tablespoon honey
Layer ingredients into the blender and puree until smooth. Enjoy!

You know, my kids love smoothies, but I have steered clear of them because I'm allergic to bananas and I've always thought that bananas were kind of essential in a smoothie to give it body and thicken it...any suggestions for a banana substitute?

ReplyDeleteOmg... the best... would have never thought of this.. sooo good...
ReplyDeleteCan you substitute ice for the frozen bananas and just use fresh bananas?
ReplyDeleteSure you can. I wouldn't add too much ice though, (maybe 1/2 cup or so) because that might water it down. You can even skip the ice and it just won't be quite as cold. Enjoy!
